Magnolia's Bike Tour 2008

Bringing the fancy gold and hot pink bike along was a plus for us since
she could ride around the clubs duirng soundcheck, and occasionally
venture out onto the city sidewalks.  Given the fact that with the
amount of sparkle the bike has, Mags even got some compliments from Ms.
Santi herself (aka Santogold)...

On the Go Playdates

My one worry in taking Mags out of school for touring is that instead of being a normal kid, she will turn into an adult kid-the kind of 4 year old that can totally carry on an adult conversation but then only has to deal with conflict that can be shut off with a "You are not making a good choice," from an adult.

Breaking Records

Please Please don't forget to read for the record
today.  Everyone read the book Courdory to your children and register
them at jumpstart and we can promote reading and try to get books into
the hands of children who don't have many (or any). Mags and I
counted our books and I'm a little embarrassed to say we counted over
200.  We're gonna give some away when we get off this bus...

Count Your Books

So, I've been learning about the Read for the Record campaign started by Jumpstart.
On October 2, everyone who is involved and cares about this (I do)
will read the same book with their children (The book is Cordouroy, a
favorite of ours)..and we'll break the world record.  And, this weekend, Magnolia and I are going to count the age-appropriate (4 and under) books we have.

ACL, fevers and B.O.

We love this place! We say it every time. The people have been enthusiatic and sweet as usual here.  We're
in Austin for the ACL festival.  Along with the shows we've done, I've
been taking June's temperature every 2 hours because she had a 102.3
temp earlier (10 minutes before we played our set at ACL) I was
freaking out just a little-but she's fine now.
